April 8th - 12th

Hope that all of you have had a great week. Sorry that I did not post last week. I got busy with Easter and the week got away from me.  It seems long ago now but we did have a great time on our field trip to the Stunt Ranch. I am really not sure who had more fun me or the kids. My favorite part was making snow and jumping into an air pillow like a stunt person.  We have had a busy week. The students have been busy  working on a variety of projects including power points on animal adaptations and books that they have read.

We will be starting our review for STAAR this next week in math and will continue with our review in reading. The students have been doing and excellent job with staying focused and working hard. Please continue to encourage them to read at home and also talk with them about their books as that is best way to build their  reading skills.

Just to give you a heads up, I will be out of town on Thursday and Friday of this week. I am lucky enough to get to attend the NTSA Science Convention in San Antonio. Unfortunately, I will not be back in time for the Spring Festival so I will miss being in the dunk tank for the first time in a long time. I do hope all of you attend. I do have a silent auction item that will be available. I am offering teacher time. It will include a day of going to the park and having a picnic lunch on Mount Bonnell. So make sure you bid.
