March 18 -March 22

 Dear Families,
I hope that each of you had a wonderful spring
break and that you were able to relax and have
some fun. I enjoyed having my daughters home
from college and the beautiful weather.

It is hard to believe that we are starting the final 9 weeks
of the year. It seems to be going by so fast. Here is a
look of what we will be doing this week :

Reading - we will continue to look at expository
text. Our focus will be context clues to determine
word meaning, main idea and summary.
Writing - we will continue to work on our expository piece
that we started before break .
Math we will begin looking at fractions
Science- we will begin looking at animals and their adaptations
Social studies - people who have changed communities

Homework- read nightly for 30 minutes
Monday and Wednesday math - Monday review sheet /Wednesday Fraction sheet
Tuesday : context clues sheet /Thursday -complete sheet Plants and their food


UPCOMING EVENTS 
Field trip forms - please make sure that your field trip forms are returned by Wednesday March 20th .Please make sure that on the waiver you initial each line please. 

STAAR Parent Information Night -Tuesday March  19th at 6:30pm - Ms. Cini will be presenting information about the upcoming STAAR test and  we will be available to answer questions.

March 25th  report cards go home 

March 26th - Explorer Excellence Awards 8:00am 

March 28th - Field trip to  Stunt Ranch 

March 29th  No school
