I hope that all of you had a wonderful long weekend and enjoyed the beautiful weather. I sure did. I have my garden ready and can't wait to enjoy my fresh vegetables.
We are now 2 weeks out from the STAAR Math and Reading test. We will finish our Sailing in to STAAR camp on Thursday and then will return to regular schedule on Friday. The kids have done an amazing job rotating from room to room for review and I have been quite impressed with how well they have done on the work. We still seem to struggle with slowing down and paying attention to details but overal they have done well.
Students will continue to receive a math review packet this week. It is blue and it is due on Friday. Students are making careless mistakes on these packets. Please encourage your child to do a few problems anight and show their work if possible. Students were also give a reading story called the Magician of the Sea - this will also be due on Friday. For those students that have the root word spelling they also brought home a new list this week.
Don't forget that Friday is the WBE Cookout. I hope that you can attend.
