I hope that everyone is enjoying their break. I have enjoyed the rain, the sunshine, the outdoors and some good books. I am looking forward to seeing everyone refreshed and ready for the last 9 weeks of school when we return on Monday .
I will be making some changes in spelling the last 9 weeks for those students that are not doing the root word spelling list. For the remainder of the year, I will be using the program Words Their Way with my students. This is the spelling program that has been adopted by RRISD for next year. I will not be sending home spelling homework at least for the next several weeks as I introduce the students to this program. Instead, students will be doing the work in the classroom . I think that the students will enjoy this program and will get them introduced to it before next year. I will still be taking a spelling grade for their work in the classroom. If you have any questions, you may contact me.
When we start back on Monday here is what we will be covering :
